Holly Muñoz

From El Paso, Texas

Holly Muñoz is a musician, songwriter, and producer from El Paso, Texas. Over the past two decades, Holly has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. In 2014, she raised over $150,000 to independently record and release two solo albums, Maps and Lists and #2 Record with analog record producer, John Vanderslice, as well as a full-length country-concept album, The Record inspired by Willie Nelson’s Red Headed Stranger. In 2015, she received a $50,000 Minnesota State Arts Board grant to produce an album with Somali-American wedding singer, Dalmar Yare. The project, Ambassadors of Culture, made history with performances at First Avenue, the Minnesota State Fair, the Walker Art Center, and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Holly currently manages artists and works community organizer, focusing on dismantling the non-profit industrial complex and shifting the paradigm of philanthropy towards radical divestiture.
