Snapdragons

The Next Generation of Music

The Snapdragons are a group of young musicians who have been playing together for three years. They play singer-songwriter, folk, indie, and alternative music with a focus on harmonies and acoustic instruments. Each of them are multi-instrumentalists with bluegrass roots and a wide range of vocals. Charlotte Williams, 16, from Heath, MA, plays guitar and bass and enjoys adding high harmonies with a rich tone. Bela Boehmer, 15, is from Shelburne Falls, MA. She plays guitar, fiddle, and contributes a bluesy tone to the Snapdragons’ sound. Sofia Mason, 17, also from Heath, plays mandolin, guitar, and bass as well as writes original songs. Nola Grignaffini, 16, of Shelburne Falls, plays banjo, guitar, sings melody, and writes original songs for the band. Katje Gibb-Buursma, 17, of Jacksonville, VT, plays piano, percussion, and guitar and also writes original songs for the band. They have played at local venues such as Floodwater Brewery (opening for Kalliope Jones), MASS MoCA, Shelburne Springs, the Iron Horse (opening for Erin McKeown), Heath Fair, and Downtown Sounds.
